Google Unveils a New "+1 Ranking System"

This was information was just released pretty recently, And no this is not one of Google's infamous April Fools jokes, this is the real deal, check it out...

Google unveiled today it would be releasing a brand new "experiment" as most people are calling it. Basically in a nutshell, they are implementing a "ranking system" that allows users to "like" a particular page or sub-page (give it a thumb's up so to speak), sort of like your use to seeing with the current "Facebook plug-in" just about everywhere on the web. This new "experiment" is essentially becoming another attempt at perfecting there current "Authority and Confidence Ranking System" also known as there current "PR (page
rank) system".
I am just like you though, still very much in the dark as to how this new "bot/spider" will effect our page ranking "precisely". I don't want to leave any doubt about this, there will be furious competition for these ranking spots - I'm sure. Google has not fully disclosed what it intends to do with this data in the future OTHER then to guarantee that it WILL be implemented into their Google Search "Page Ranking" system immediately (which confirms what I just said, it's an attempt at really trying to perfect there "Page Rank" system, by letting visitors choose whether or not the content is relevant and "like-able"), so there leaves no doubt that this will affect everyone's PR (page rank), in some form or fashion, (exactly how it's going to effect it, remains to be determined, but time will tell), and they also said this would soon be implemented directly into actual "website properties/content." (About time!!)

I don't know how I feel about this yet and neither does the rest of the SEO / SEM Solutions providing world it looks like... but we do want to see how it reacts first of course, I'm sure even the general public wants to see this... I mean, I'm sure everyone has their own suspicions and I don't blame them, but then again, let's give them some credit here... They are "Google" (and 71% of all search's on "Search Engines" are on Google, now that's power) and they have BEYOND impressed me on many occasions, so I wouldn't be shocked if they found a great way to implement that ranking system DEEP into the "sub page" content section of a particular website, that's where it belongs anyway in my opinion. I mean think about it, that would allow a much more accurate and free flowing ranking system. People will now get to "read the content internally" (sub-pages) and then rank it, and based on multiple page ranking's, Google will react and do something constructive with this, I'm sure.

Now then again, if this new "experiment" is a total flop, you'll have all the spammers in the world on top of this real quick and Google will shut it down before you can say "Bob's my Uncle." What do you guys think of this new +1 Ranking System" by Google? any comments?
